The 'Schooldays' album was produced in the late 1970's. Songs were written by Henry Maynard  school teacher Mr. Cy Parry and accompanied by Mr Angelo Gajewski (also a Henry Maynard teacher) and his band. Pupils from various local school took part. It is now available on  Spotify.                   https://open.spotify.com/album/1IM60gfVLoi2sYrgTA4pwX    and is also available on Sound Cloud https://soundcloud.com/alivemusicstudios/sets/cy-parry-schooldays-by-school-kids-album-2015

Productions

Productions have always been an important aspect of every school year which pupils looking forward to, parents enjoy (of course!) and ex students remember fondly, even many years later. Back in the days of the 1970's open planned schools there were 4 different age classes of 7-11 years olds in the same unit and the pupils would all produce a show where they all took part together. Nowadays the units or year groups produce their own show together at different times of the year: KS1 and Year 5 at Christmas, Year 4 just before Easter, Year 5 in May and Year 6 just before they leave in July. In addition, for about ten years  there has been a tradition of the afterschool production club and choir putting on a performance of a musical Shakespeare play or other by other classical writers such as Dickens.

Where there is the opportunity to participate in a community music event, the school is also keen to participate, even in the days of the Victorian school.
