Meet the related 'teachers'......

People are often amazed to hear how many of our teachers, in recent years, have had parents who also taught in the school. Here are some of them:

Kathryn Kabra (left) and daughter  Roxanna Kabra.

Kathryn taught at the Infant school for many years and was also part of the team that set up the 'Training school'.

Roxanna was  a pupil at the school in the 1990's and is currently an Assistant Headteacher in the school.

Samina Najib (middle) and daughter Amna Najib.

Samina supported EAL learners during the late 90's and early 2000's. She particularly supported the 'new arrivals' to the country in acquiring English, in their first few months in the school.

Amna continues to work in the school as a Teaching  Assistant.

Anne Smith taught at the school between 1986 and 2006, and held the Science Coordinator post for many of these years. Sarah attended the school first as a pupil, then was a teaching assistant for a short while, before teaching across the Junior age range between 2000 and 2017. She was Arts coordinator for many years and has recently moved on to continue her career in a school in Essex.
Suzanne Bennett (right) worked in the school from 1999 for 11 years as one of the first Senior Learning Mentors in the Borough and also led in attendance issues and developing club opportunities. She has continued her role in another two schools in the Borough.
Her daughter Jessica Collins began at Henry Maynard reception in 1995. Her earliest memory is being taught by   Clare Hunton, who later became involved in training her, as a teacher, through the 2 schools Consortium programme.
